Children in southeastern Cameroon play with organs of a mustached monkey, recently hunted and butchered for the family dinner. Virologists will analyze blood samples from animals like this, and from human hunters, to detect and prevent outbreaks of any viruses which might be transferred from animals to humans. Leading the effort is Nathan Wolfe, Director of the Global Virus Forecasting Initiative (GVFI). (Cameroon village names: Ngoila, Messok, Mesock, Zoulabot)
